Cancellation Policy
At Norwester Digital Marketing Services, we understand that business requirements can change. This Cancellation Policy explains how clients may request cancellation of services or projects and how cancellations may affect ongoing work, payments, and deliverables.
The specific cancellation terms applicable to a project may also be defined in the relevant proposal, quotation, service agreement, or statement of work.
Where a project-specific agreement contains different cancellation provisions, those provisions may apply.
1. Requesting a Cancellation
Clients who wish to cancel a service or project should contact Norwester Ads in writing.
Cancellation requests may be submitted through:
Email: support@norwesterads.com
The request should, where possible, include:
Client name
Company or business name
Relevant project or service
Reason for cancellation, if the Client wishes to provide one
Requested cancellation date
A cancellation is not considered effective until it has been acknowledged or otherwise processed by Norwester Ads, subject to the applicable agreement.
2. Cancellation Before Work Begins
If a Client requests cancellation before work has started, the applicable payment treatment will depend on the project agreement and whether any costs, resources, bookings, third-party services, or preparatory work have already been incurred.
Any non-refundable amounts or committed third-party costs may remain payable where applicable.
3. Cancellation After Work Has Started
If cancellation occurs after work has begun, the Client may remain responsible for:
Work already completed
Work already in progress
Approved deliverables
Services already provided
Non-refundable third-party costs
Advertising or media commitments
Other amounts already incurred under the project
Cancellation does not automatically eliminate payment obligations for work already performed.
4. Recurring Services
For recurring services, the applicable agreement may specify a notice period for cancellation.
Where no specific notice period has been agreed, Norwester Ads may require reasonable written notice before recurring services are discontinued.
Any services delivered during the applicable notice period remain payable.
5. Campaign Cancellation
If an advertising campaign is cancelled after media buying, advertising placement, platform expenditure, production, or other commitments have been made, the Client may remain responsible for costs that cannot reasonably be reversed or recovered.
Third-party advertising platforms may have their own cancellation, billing, or refund rules.
6. Effect of Cancellation
Following cancellation, Norwester Ads may stop further work after the effective cancellation date.
Where appropriate, completed and fully paid deliverables may be provided to the Client according to the applicable project terms.
Access to certain third-party platforms, accounts, subscriptions, or tools may remain subject to the policies of those providers.
7. Cancellation by Norwester Ads
Norwester Ads may suspend or terminate services where reasonably necessary, including in situations involving:
Non-payment
Material breach of an agreement
Misuse of services
Unlawful or prohibited activities
Abusive or threatening conduct
Failure to provide necessary information or approvals
Circumstances that make continued service impractical
Where appropriate, reasonable notice may be provided.
8. Cancellation Does Not Automatically Mean a Refund
Cancellation and refund are separate matters.
Cancelling a project does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund. Refund eligibility, if any, will be determined according to the applicable Refund Policy and project agreement.
